  My view of how students benefit from digital citizenship in light of the IB learner profile attributes. While practicing digital citizenship they practice engaging in thoughtful communications. They inquire about a grey area timely based on conclusive evidence. Communicator :  IB students form connections with the world with great responsibility. They engage in authentic/safe connections ensuring that it provides them with accurate information. While forming connections they keep in mind other learner profiles also. They practice being a digital citizen through various apps. Benefits and Challenges of being a connected Educator

  Making Global Connections - Classrooms with no boundaries  The whole idea of making global connections through technology always seemed to be tough. With younger kids there are too many things on a facilitators desk to keep in mind. There are other boundaries also such as the school policy. However, after connecting with another classroom through Google document has entirely changed my point of view.  Changed Mindset  My students thoroughly enjoyed forming this connection. They simply loved the idea of formulating questions for kids their age residing in another country. Upon receiving answers they were anxious to guess the country. I saw my whole class was involved. The quite learners were also eager to formulate questions. The best part was when they were impatiently waiting for answers.  I believe such practices will help students evolve. It will help them practice open-mindedness. They will learn different things from kids with different cultural backgrounds.  It is indeed a wond

No Boundaries...

  Ah Well! What is a PYP classroom with boundaries? A PYP Classroom cannot be confined to four walls or even the school building. It is learning without boundaries, and  without restrictions.  Ensuring that learners are engaged and involved only becomes possible if you give them varied learning opportunities, if you allow them to flourish and learn willingly. As an IB facilitator, my job is only to assist my learners and provide them the right path to explore, to strengthen their understanding about a certain concept. They must be trained in a way to think and ask questions. They must own their learning process.  My students visiting the school Science lab to learn about Mixtures and Solutions.  Visiting PYP I to learn about Dubai while we were celebrating World Tourism Day 2021.
